Family owned and operated since 1979, Dick and Cindy Kalow have continued the history of a hands-on approach since acquiring the business in 2004. Having been both charter clients and charter boat owners, the Kalows understand how to effectively support the needs of both clients and boat owners. Combining their business expertise with their passion for sailing and the Apostle Islands, the Kalows maintain the friendly atmosphere and high level of customer service that has been the hallmark of Superior Charter's operations since its inception.

Established in 1979 at Port Superior Marina, Superior Charters Inc. is nestled in the protected Pike’s Bay harbor two miles south of Bayfield, Wisconsin on Wisconsin State Highway 13 – situated at the gateway of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore.
Minneapolis / St. Paul International Airport is the nearest major airport to our area. Bayfield is a scenic four hour drive away. Duluth, Minnesota has a smaller International Airport, which is 90 miles to the west-southwest of our location. Duluth also has service to the major automobile rental agencies
